BTEC National in Sport
As a Sports College we recognise the importance and impact of physical activity and sport on our students. We understand that the nature of the sports courses means that students can participate in practical activity for the majority of a school day. Following consultation with our Sports Prefects we have designed a new black Nike Sports Tracksuit that can also be worn around school and that must be worn in all practical sports lessons. The Nike sports tracksuit will be available for purchasing from the start of the summer holidays from Rawcliffes (see address below). However it is not necessary to purchase this if you have the grey and black Nike Sports Tracksuit that has been worn this academic year. Should you still wish to purchase any items please visit

Trainers are to be worn, not pumps and no jewellery or wrist bands are to be worn in PE lessons for health and safety purposes. Any tattoos should be covered and there should be no extremes of hair colour, jewellery and no coloured nail varnish or hats are to be worn in school.
Sixth Form Equipment
All Sixth Form courses require all students to bring basic equipment to lessons. You should therefore prepare for your final year of studies by ensuring that you have a minimum of pens, pencils, eraser, ruler, sharpener, calculator, A4 lined paper, A4 file and file dividers, plastic wallets and a suitable bag to fit all of these items (handbags are not appropriate). It is vital to be highly organised and prepared. Some courses may require students to have specialised equipment and materials. Please be aware that it may be possible to apply for financial assistance for some equipment and materials, and details of our Post 16 bursary will be made available upon request.
